We were visiting in Reno, and this place was within walking distance from The Discovery Museum. They sell pizza by the slice or the whole pie, lots of different varieties, along with salads, garlic knots, salads and beer. Food was good, varieties were flavorful, my favorite was the mushroom pizza!
Been looking for a new New York style pizza place, really glad I stopped here. Great variety of pizza by the slice. Super yummy. Service is great and the vibe is cool. Love the patio. Shout out to Chris and Frankie for being amazing!!
The place was convenient and I like to locate local places when I travel. This place did not disappoint because I ordered a small pie fresh vs. reheat the slice. Heating a slice is super convenient and helpful many times but today I had time to burn. Great pie! Thin with crispy crust is my favorite anyway. I ordered what I wanted which is one of their signature pie's. Pep, jalapeños, and mushrooms. My go to order with pepperoncinis usually which I forgot!!!. . Great idea airfare, thanks elective beer selection, and great food. Perfect combination for satisfaction. Great all around place in downtown Reno. Please visit and enjoy.
This place is RAD! ( FIRST TIME HERE ) Parking can be crazy. Just saying. But.... Full bar ( the most important part, right??? If you know.... You know?!) , pizza is on point, people are fun and of ALLLLLL ages and kind. The music playing is loud enough to enjoy your conversation and to cover up the people's conversation at the table next table, ... Which I love! Nice job with the tunes TEAM!! The other thing that I love here is, there were some college students hanging out at the bar, some older folks having a pizza at a high top ( rocking to the jams playing ) everyone was chatting and vibing with each other. Just having a great time! That's the place I wanna be!! Loved the pizza and the people and the vibe! I think the thing that will make me come back again and again is the way this place is set up. Patio with fire pit OUTSIDE!!, a bar feel in the back with a pizza place vibe in the front! This place is absolutely underrated!!! Get your pizza , Bar and music loving butt down here!!!
I have been here a handful of times. Every time has been good. I love getting the slice because it's just enough of pizza for me at lunch. The food comes out quick and is always something different. I did try the sodas the last time and I wasn't really impressed with the soda machine. But the flavors were different. I definitely will be going back whenever I am in the area and want a good slice of pie.
I have been a little 'burned' by ready to go pizza places in the past and have gotten sick from re-warmed pizza. HOWEVER this is NOT the case with Sizzle pie! I've only ever had the pepperoni pizza and NOT ONCE has it made me sick. It's always tasted fresh and delicious. Staff has been friendly and eager to help. I've never actually eaten inside the restaurant, as the times that I have gone, it's been summer so I've sat outside on the patio. There are places to return your plates/cups/flatware and then staff comes and collects them to take them back for washing/drying/reusing. I love the location of the restaurant with plenty of parking around (mostly metered but if you hunt you can find free parking). I will definitely continue to offer my patronage to this place.
I ordered the "New Maps Out of Hell" and it was a delicious vegan pizza loaded with veggies and a tasty, creamy basil cashew pesto. I love their convenient online ordering as I get to skip the wait and just pick up my pie (you can get your late night fixins until 11:45, which is, wonderful). They have a great selection of vegan pizza options and I especially like that they don't rely on vegan cheeses to carry the pizza. I think a lot of mock cheeses detract from most dishes. The shop has ample room to navigate and doesn't feel crowded at all. The decor is cool too. The employees are prompt and polite. It's awesome that they have vegan slices ready to buy if you don't want to have a whole pizza. I'll definitely eat here again. Edit: I tried the vegan special, " My War Ends With You," it was rough. The pizza had no sauce so it got very stale, despite being reheated. I respect trying new things, and acknowledge that they don't always work, so not a complaint, just some feedback.
Sizzle Pie is a Vegan's dream. It is my favorite place to stop in for a quick bite to eat. I LOVE that they have 9 pizzas prepped and ready to go for single slice ordering. (3 vegan, 3 vegetarian, and 3 meat). Just a quick heat up in the oven and they bring it out to you. This place has become my go to when I want a quick bite after running errands in midtown. I love sitting at the bar and taking advantage of their happy hour specials. The bar tenders are super friendly, and their drink selection is surprisingly robust. Do not miss out on trying their vegan ranch dressing. It's legit the best I've tried. Also try their garlic knots and pesto. It's to die for. In addition to the cool punk rock interior, there is a great outdoor patio out front. It's got tons of seating amidst greenery and firepits. It's a very pleasant spot in midtown to chill and enjoy your pizza and beer. Highly recommend.
Great place for a quick slice. Vegan options. Beers on tap. Went late Saturday night and was a little shocked that the first tip option is 25%. Yes. I know I can adjust it, but it just seems like setting the default to 25% is excessive.
